One of our prestigious clients based in Australia, an IT solutions provider specializing in managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and IT support, is looking for an experienced Senior Support Engineers to join their remote team in Colombo, Sri Lanka.


SALARY: Negotiable (based on experience and remote role expectations)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, switching, VLANs, and networking.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery systems (Veeam, Datto, Cove).
  • Utilize MSP tools: Halo (PSA), N-central (RMM), Sentinel One (EDR).
  • Lead and resolve Level 3 escalations and perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • Maintain documentation, update SOPs and knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with Australian teams and escalate vendor-related issues.
  • Mentor Level 1 & 2 engineers and support internal IT improvements.
  • Monitor alerts and perform root cause analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years in IT support, including 4+ years in a Level 3 role.
  • Certifications: A+, N+, Security+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, Azure (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, AD, DNS, DHCP.
  • Proficient in RMM/PSA tools, remote diagnostics, and cybersecurity platforms.
  • Experience with backup & recovery tools: Veeam, Datto, Cove.
  • Strong communication/documentation skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot under pressure.
  • Familiarity with compliance and IT security practices.
  • Reliable internet and power setup for remote work.
  • Must be available during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT).
  • Willing to participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
