One of our prestigious Clients' who is a leading Multinational IT company is looking for skilled "AWS Data Engineers" to work in their Colombo office immediately!

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build and operationalize large-scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of AWS data and analytics services in combination with 3rd parties - Data Lake, Glue, Snowflake, Data Pipeline, Redshift, RDS, Athena, and S3.
- Analyze, re-architect, and re-platform on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on AWS cloud using AWS or 3rd party services.
- Design and build production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture, using Python, Java, or Scala.
- Design and implement data engineering, ingestion, and curation functions on AWS cloud using AWS native or custom programming.
- Perform detailed assessments of current state data platforms and create an appropriate transition path to AWS cloud.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering on AWS and/or GCP cloud.
- Working experience in AWS data products including Data Lake, AWS Glue, Data Pipeline, Redshift, RDS, Athena, and S3.
- Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases, data warehousing & concepts is essential.
- Strong background in ETL tools is required. (SSIS, Alteryx, AWS ETL tools, etc.)
- Knowledge in GCP data products including BigQuery, BigTable, CloudSQL, Data Studio is a plus.
- Expertise in technologies such as Snowflake is a plus.
- Programming knowledge in Python would be preferred.
- AWS and/or GCP certifications are preferred.
- Should be willing to work together with a BI team working on Domo & Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English to directly work with US clients.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and willing to learn and work on multiple technologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment.
