Clinical Psychologists

Responsibilities:

·      Evaluate patients through observations, tests, surveys, interviews, and other methods

·      Diagnose patients’ psychological, emotional, and/or behavioural issues through analyzing results

·      Establish timelines, tasks, goals, and medical needs of patients

·      Develop and carry out treatment plans for patients

·      Monitor patient progress through regular appointments

·      Work with families, couples, and individuals to help patients make desired changes

·      Identify and diagnose emotional, behavioural, and mental disorders in a wide variety of patients

·      Develop programs to improve patients’ lives

·      Provide patients with emotional tools and methods for recovery

 Requirements:

·    PhD in psychology or a Doctor of Psychology degree

·      Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; local state regulations and certifications must be met

·      Four-year psychiatric residency

·      3-5 years of experience in the field

·      Participation in further medical education and professional organization memberships are preferred

·      Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Compassionate and sensitive to patients’ needs and concerns

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills
