One of our prestigious clients in the UK is looking for competent "Test Automation Engineers" to join their Colombo team immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be an important member of the scrum team, attending all meetings (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective, and backlog refinement) and providing valuable input from a test perspective.
- Validate the development work completed in sprint meets the Acceptance Criteria and UI Standards and perform sanity checks and exploratory testing in accordance with the Definition of Done.
- Review failures on the overnight automated test runs and fix where necessary.
- Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software is fit for purpose.
- Ensure any bugs or issues are logged properly and fixed before deployments.
- Take ownership of, lead, and execute different levels/phases of testing where required, including but not restricted to:
• Acceptance Criteria verification
• Exploratory Testing
• Device Testing
• Regression Testing
• End to End (Flow) Testing
• And the automation of these where possible
• Ongoing review and improvement of automated tests to ensure test cycle times are fully optimized
• Creation of SQL seeding scripts to prepare the test environment for test cases
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- 2+ years of experience as a software tester in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- SQL skills for interrogating MySQL databases for data creation, data mining and data validation.
- Experience in extracting and authoring of test cases from requirements and Acceptance Criteria.
- Coding experience to facilitate the automation of tests and improve reusability and maintenance of testing codebase.
- Hands on experience of testing both via front end and at API level.
- Experience with TestCafe and other testing tools.
- SQL skills.
- Experience in Azure DevOps. (i.e., Pipelines + Test Plans)
- Experience using Git.
- Experience of performing load/performance tests. (Desirable)
- Experience in creating testing strategies and test plans. (Desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills you will be working closely with and collaborating with developers, testers, the Scrum Master, and Product Owner.
