Our client is a multinational provider of "Construction Products & Systems" and is looking for an experienced "Business Development Manager" to work in their Colombo office immediately!

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the full spectrum of Business Development operations for Sri Lanka & South Asia Region, which includes all aspects of strategizing, implementing, managing, and monitoring activities related to Business Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, and Relationship Management.

  • Conduct business research and develop strategic plans to ensure the current and future profitable growth of the organization.
  • Formulate strategically focused marketing plans to drive market demand and thus achieve business targets and gain a competitive edge in the region.
  • Drive sales growth and ensure achievement of subsidiaries sales’ targets by developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
  • Ensure high retention rate and long-term relationships with customers by directing the quality of service and technical approach provided by the region to customers.
  • Provide a definite direction and support to the company’s day-to-day operations by developing policies, procedures, guidelines, and process manuals and ensure compliance of the subsidiaries within the region.
  • Manage Business Development-owned software to ensure full control of the functionality, access security, information, and transactions running in the system.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Marketing, Business Management, or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Business Development.
  • Proven experience in managing and growing a business in the South Asia region is an advantage.
  • Experience working for a start-up company or pioneering a business unit is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate corporate and business unit goals and objectives into realistic marketing and sales plans.
  • Excellent computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent bilingual skills in both spoken & written English, Sinhala/Tamil.
  • Problem-solving attitude with an ability to multi-task.
  • Professional appearance, self-confident, highly independent, assertive.
  • Team player with profound leadership and interpersonal skills.
