One of our prestigious clients in Kuwait is looking for an experienced Pastry Commis to join their team immediately.

SALARY: KWD Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Pastry Chef and senior pastry team in preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked products.
• Prepare and measure ingredients accurately according to recipes and production requirements.
• Assist with mixing, baking, decorating, and finishing pastry and dessert items.
• Ensure all pastry products are prepared according to required quality, taste, texture, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Properly store ingredients and finished products according to food safety requirements.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Assist with the preparation of creams, fillings, sauces, doughs, and other pastry components.
• Operate pastry kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
• Assist in preparing pastry items for daily service, events, and special functions.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP procedures at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma, certificate, or professional qualification in Pastry Arts, Bakery, Culinary Arts, or a related field will be an advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Pastry Commis or in a similar pastry/bakery position.
• Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert production.
• Familiarity with different pastry ingredients, equipment, and preparation methods.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new pastry techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Hardworking, disciplined, and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
