One of our prestigious Clients' who is into the "Entertainment Industry" is looking for "Sous Chefs" to work in their One Galle Face Mall Shangri-La Colombo office immediately.

# SALARY - Rs. 70,000 - 100,000

# REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Helping in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
  • Producing high quality plates both design and taste wise.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
  • Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
  • To ensure that all kitchen staff receive the right training and optimum guidance.
  • To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to Head Chef.
  • To ensure that no horseplay is allowed in the kitchen and that all staff under his control are treated fairly and with courtesy.
  • To deputise in the Executive Chef's absence and take charge of the kitchen.
  • To train the staff, Attend courses and seminars as and when required.
  • To strive to study management subjects in preparation for future advancement.

# QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Diploma in Hotel Management with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the relevant field.
