Paediatrician

Responsibilities:

·      Providing physical, mental, and emotional care for children, infants, and teenagers

·      Performing diagnostic tests to obtain information about the patient’s medical condition

·      Administering treatments, medications, therapies, and vaccinations to treat illness, injuries, and disorders

·      Treating children who suffer from minor injuries, chronic and acute health problems, and psychological and physiological growth and development concerns

·      Counseling and guiding children and their parents or guardians concerning hygiene, diet, and disease prevention

Requirements:

·      Four years of undergrad studies and a biology degree or a pre-med degree

·      Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy

·      One year pediatric internship

· Two-year residency program

·      Board certification and licensed

·      Education in a pediatric sub-speciality is a plus
