One of our prestigious Clients' who is a leading multinational "Software Development" company is looking for a competent "Systems Engineer" to work in their Colombo office immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain robust, secure, and high–performance server and systems infrastructure while maintaining high availability and DR capabilities.
- System administration of Widows / Linux and application administration
- Performance analysis and tuning, capacity planning, and optimizing servers, databases, and storage for optimal efficiency and consistency.
- Perform required housekeeping to ensure their smooth operations and maintain the high availability of systems.
- Analyze issues in systems, applications and identify root causes and resolve them.
- Ensure system sustainability, organizational knowledge, and resource sustain.
- Evaluate and recommend future technologies, optimal infrastructure requirements, databases, and application technologies.
- Create and maintain scripts for the automation of server processes.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Security, or any other equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Server / Systems Administrator in a Datacenter.
- Strong LINUX skills and experience working in a LINUX-based development environment.
- Strong CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker) experience with Azure or AWS.
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Perl/PHP, etc) to automate tasks.
- Experience with MySQL / MariaDB and database optimization.
- Experience in Load testing, Stress testing, and automation will be an added advantage.
- Sense of urgency in acknowledging and closing issues / tickets.
- Ability to work long hours or in different time zones when required.
- Effective time-management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good proficiency in English (Written/Spoken).
