One of our prestigious Clients' who is a leading International Telecommunication Company is looking for an experienced "VAS Account Manager" to work in their Colombo office immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for developing, driving, and managing sales activities to grow revenues and direct margin in the VAS field that support and exceed forecasts.
  • Acquires new partners and customers with a focus on contributing to the direct margin and revenue increase of the VAS Business.
  • Coordinates the operational end-to-end implementation of the contracts from signature to full-service deployment.
  • Handles day-to-day sales & buying activities with a strong sales focus on specific destinations.
  • Accountable for all financial, technical, legal, and administrative issues towards the assigned customers.
  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with customers.
  • Participates in the development of strategic customer planning sessions and reviews.
  • Attends industry events to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight and represent the Business Unit in the marketplace.
  • Knowledge and application of ISO norms.
  • Keen to perform other duties upon request and as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:


  • Holder of at least Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Telecom Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Sales experience in the telecom VAS field.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

  • Strong technical and commercial skills and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very well developed negotiations skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Energetic, target driven, initiative-taker, and highly motivated.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product.
