# JOB SCOPE

  • CFO is responsible for finance control and financial planning in the Local Office and timely communication with the Finance Department team in the foreign Head Office.
  • Working closely with external consultants, accounting auditor, related departments within the organization, and the local company's major shareholder, the CFO shall lead the IFRS/IPO project to achieve the goals of,
  1. Converting to Full-version of IFRS
  2. IPO Readiness including but not limited to establishment of internal control over financial reporting.
  • CFO shall be responsible for periodical reporting and review of its financial results in accordance with the implemented IFRS and related internal policies.

# ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the Head Office finance team and your finance team, monitor the company's internal financial controls, participate in budgeting process, and evaluate and manage financial risk.
  • Working closely with the Head Office finance team, external IPO consultants and related departments within the organization, develop, coordinate, and assist the implementation of policies regarding IPO readiness, including aspects of Corporate Governance, FCRP (Financial Closing and Reporting Process), Internal Control, Compliance, and IT.
  • Working closely with the Head Office finance team, external IFRS consultants and related departments within the organization, develop and implement internal accounting policies and operational procedures in compliance with the full version of IFRS.
  • Continuously research new IFRS developments and periodically review and update the internal accounting policies and operational procedures in order to maintain the alignment with IFRS.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS.
  • Liaise with external auditors and produce external audit reviews under IFRS on time.
  • Supervise the review and verification of financial statements prepared by the company's finance team.
  • Develop training materials and provide training for department staff and branch staff.
  • Support DD for fundraising and investor relations matters.
  • Ad hoc management reports required from BoD, major shareholder and banks.
  • Other tasks on Finance/Accounting assigned by the CEO of the local company.

# QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA, US CPA or other relevant certificates.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Financial Accounting and Reporting role. (Professional Audit/Accounting Firms, Accounting Consulting, Etc.)
  • At least 2 years' experience in a CFO equivalent role at financial institutions. (Banks, Finance Companies or Microfinance Institutions.)
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Sinhala and other local languages.
  • Professionalism and high integrity.
  • Good problem-solving skills and accuracy in work.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to work as a team with various stakeholders.
