As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Switchboard Draftsperson to join their engineering team and support high-quality electrical projects.
SALARY: Negotiable
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare accurate engineering documentation for Low Voltage (LV) switchboard manufacturing.
- Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation.
- Interpret project specifications, consultant drawings, and engineering requirements.
- Support estimating, procurement, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain revision control and engineering documentation.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) technical queries.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards and specifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 3–5 years of experience in LV switchboard drafting or design.
- Knowledge of:
- AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, SIR, IEC 60947 standards.
- MSBs, MDBs, MCCs, DBs, ATS, and renewable energy interfaces.
- Busbars, fault levels, protection coordination, IP ratings, and cable sizing.
- Proficiency in:
- EPLAN Electric P8
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Electrical
- SolidWorks Electrical
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
