One of our reputed clients is seeking highly skilled and experienced SOC Engineers – L3 to lead advanced security operations, handle critical incidents, and support overall cybersecurity initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
SALARY: LKR 400,000 – 700,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advanced Level 3 support for complex security incidents and threats.
- Act as the primary escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 SOC analysts.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM and other security tools.
- Investigate potential security breaches and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and improve incident response procedures and playbooks.
- Mentor and train junior SOC analysts to maintain high technical standards.
- Collaborate with global teams on security operations and threat mitigation strategies.
- Maintain detailed security documentation, reports, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in 24x7 SOC operations, including on-call rotations if required.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–8 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in SIEM tools, threat detection, and incident response.
- Experience in handling security incidents, alerts, and escalations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., ISO, NIST).
- Experience working in SOC environments.
- Knowledge of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and log analysis.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage critical escalations confidently.
