One of our reputed clients is looking for detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executives to manage financial operations related to import and local transactions. The role involves handling accounting processes, financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
SALARY: LKR 60,000 – 100,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate accounting records for import and local transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including follow-ups with suppliers and customers.
- Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, and payment vouchers.
- Handle import-related financial documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Bills of Lading.
- Process and submit bank applications for LC, TT, DP, and DA payments.
- Verify and record import-related payments including freight, insurance, duties, and clearing charges.
- Reconcile supplier statements, bank statements, and ledger accounts.
- Assist with customs documentation and ensure compliance with import regulations.
- Monitor shipment payments and track outstanding balances.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for import/export records.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with tax-related work including VAT and import duties.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation.
- Ensure timely payments to overseas suppliers and local service providers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- AAT completed or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in import/export operations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Hindi is an added advantage.
