One of our prestigious clients in Colombo, a leading diversified conglomerate, is seeking an experienced Tax Advisor cum Internal Auditors to join their team immediately.

# ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and verify monthly statutory payments for accuracy and timely submission.

Provide both financial and non-financial information to management for strategic decisions, including budgets, cash flows, and business plans.

Coordinate with tax consultants and prepare year-end tax plans.

Manage and ensure compliance with the Chairman’s personal tax matters and payments.

Liaise with external auditors and local authorities for financial compliance.
-
Evaluate systems to ensure adherence to company policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations.
-
Review monthly accounts, payments, and imports, and approve them.
-
Offer consultancy and advisory services on governance, risk management, and organizational control.
-
Conduct audits by examining reports, statements, and records, and provide recommendations to management to mitigate risks and fraud.

Propose best financial practices for organizational improvement and conduct investigations and sudden audits as required.
# QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a recognized accounting firm (e.g., E&Y, KPMG, PwC) and 3 years in a commercial environment.

Sound knowledge of tax-related matters, including dealings with IRD, financial accounting, and reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance.
-
Professional qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or a related field.

Proficiency in personal and corporate tax handling.
-
Ability to approve payments, including tax, statutory payments, and import documents.

Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and changes in the finance sector.

Exceptional skills in internal and external auditing, taxation, procurement, and financial documentation.

Strong multitasking ability across auditing, accounting, taxation, and procurement.
-
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
-
High efficiency, integrity, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
