One of our prestigious clients in Australia who is a leading "Software Engineering" company is looking for "QA Engineers" to join their team in Colombo immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review requirement specifications, understand the requirements, and provide meaningful and timely feedback.
- Providing and validating estimates to ensure clear scope, assumptions and dependencies are considered and appropriately noted.
- Design, develop and execute automated test scripts.
- Create well-structured and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Prioritize and perform quality testing activities.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of automated and manual regression test suites to ensure they are relevant, current and prioritised according to business severity or high risk areas.
- Reporting on testing status across assigned projects.
- Ensure the correct setup and data integrity of the testing environments prior to testing activities being undertaken.
- Perform usability and performance testing.
- Assist and enhance the company’s testing methodologies and quality control standards.
- Stay up to date on latest industry technologies and be willing to upskill by training and learning.
- Mentor and provide training assistance to Associate QA Engineers.
- Contribute to improving team culture and well-being of the team.
- Encourage and support flexible ways of working while maintaining quality and expected deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Degree in a Quantitative discipline such as IT or Computer Science.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience working on QA Automation tools (eg: Selenium, Tosca,Cucumber, REST Assured etc).
- Experience in software QA tools such as SoapUI, Postman, Apache JMeter.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience in Xray Test Management tool.
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud provider is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge on the software development cycle (includes testing and release management).
- Experience working with APIs.
- Excellent technical documentation skills are a must.
- Superannuation industry knowledge, qualifications or experience.
- Financial Services industry certifications, training or experience.
- Agile certifications, training or experience.
- ISTQB qualifications or equivalent – preferred.
- Experience in Software development will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to directly communicate with clients in Australia as required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player, with the ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
- Quick learner.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to present to stakeholders and communicate complex issues simply.
