Our client is a leading multinational "Software Development" company, who is looking for an accomplished "Head of Software Engineering" to join with their Colombo team immediately.
SALARY: Rs. 400,000
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role is a key leadership role working directly with our CTO, GM, CEO & CFO in Australia, and the United Kingdom and to lead us through our next exciting stage of growth as we expand.
You will be the go-to person for complex coding whilst also enjoy providing proactive technical leadership to the team.
This will also involve a leadership role with the platform architectural group, taking complex technology business requirements and providing architectural guidance.
- Provide coaching, mentoring & technical leadership to the development team.
- Develop a roadmap of what skills are required to grow the existing team & recruit new
- Actively contribute to the platform architectural team on direction and strategy
- Provide architectural and technical strategy on our platform as we scale.
- Be an active part of the leadership team to build an awesome culture and drive continuous technical advancement & learning across the team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university. (MBA would be an added advantage)
- 12+ years experience in software engineering (SaaS or Systems preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years experience in managing and leading an experienced engineering team.
- Strong hands-on experience in PHP, React, Node, Python, or Java.
- Good understanding of big data, data science is preferred.
- Ability to identify, grow, mentor, and challenge an engineering team.
- Ability to lead technically and demonstrate team-leading capabilities.
- Effectively manages changes to work tasks and the work environment and assists others with adapting to change.
- Effective time-management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial mindset with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, motivation, and team working skills.
