Our client who is into "Pharmaceutical Equipment" is looking for a skilled "Accounts Assistant" to work in their Colombo office immediately.
SALARY: Rs. 25,000 - 35,000
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing support to the Accounting Department.
- Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
- Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Preparing financial reports.
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Age above 30 years.
- Full or part qualification from AAT / CIMA or any relevant professional qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Basic IT skills are a must. (Email, Internet, MS-Office, etc.)
- Excellent skills in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Experience in Tally ERP is an added advantage.
- Ability to follow confidentiality guidelines.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
- Professional manner and strong ethical code.
- Team player with a pleasing personality.
- Time and project management skills, including the ability to efficiently multitask when necessary.
- Living within close traveling distance to Colombo is preferred.
