One of our prestigious Clients' who is a leading "Clothing Manufacturer" is looking for experienced "Machine Operators" to work in their Colombo factory immediately.
# SALARY: Rs. 23,000 - 28,500 + Benefits (OT, EPF, ETF, Insurance, Etc.)
# ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences.
- Meeting with consumers and inspecting patterns to determine each job's requirements.
- Performing alterations to existing patterns or creating your own ones.
- Selecting suitable thread and placing this onto the spool spin.
- Cutting, sewing, and gluing fabric according to the requirements of each article.
- Affixing buttons, zippers, clasps, laces, and similar fittings.
- Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators, as you sew.
- Replacing the sewing machine's needle, as required.
- Detecting and repairing basic faults with the sewing machine as they occur.
- Scheduling repairs for the sewing machine and its fittings, as needed.
# QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Age between 20 - 45 years. (Male / Female)
- Minimum G.C.E O/L - Passed. NVQ qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years' of experience as an operator in any package is a must.
- Working knowledge of sewing machine mechanics.
- Ability to follow instructions given by the supervisors.
- Ability to create, read, and follow patterns.
- Good eyesight or utilization of corrective measures.
- Excellent communication skills in Sinhala.
- Innovative, thoughtful, and attentive to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Working Hours and Days:
- 8.00 AM - 5.00 PM - Monday - Friday (Eligible for Overtime.)
- 8.00 AM - 1.30 PM - Saturday (Eligible for Overtime.)
