SALARY : Rs. 35,000 – 60,000
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an Import Sales Manager to join the team in Sri Lanka. This professional multi-tasker will focus on building strategic partnerships with existing clients and establishing new partnerships with businesses in need of customized logistics solutions. They will also oversee customs brokerage processes and ensure compliance with Indian and foreign government laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education – Bachelor’s degree; MBA (added bonus)
- Experience – 2 to 5 years of experience in freight forwarding
- Stable customer base and extensive contacts in the market
- Demonstrated ability to achieve major account sales goals and to plan and execute major customer sales strategies.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Experience in import/export regulatory compliance advisory and regulatory data sales is a plus
- Experience in international transportation sales especially FMCG
- Candidate should not be over the age of 30 years
- Candidate should be flexible to travel and relocate as per company requirement
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and organize sales activities, lead and drive performance to ensure volume and revenue targets are met, with a focus on FMCG
- Research local market conditions and identify current and prospective import sales opportunities to generate leads and establish business relations.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client's business and associated supply chain requirements and maintain strong relations including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates, and preferred routings/services/carriers.
- Negotiate sales terms with clients and oversee network partners.
- Should be able to generate import business from overseas partners and convert existing client base
- Prepare day to day sales report and follow up for materialization of business in time
- Possess a clear, detailed understanding and knowledge of the procedures and practices required to complete Ocean and Air Freight shipments
Please Note:
We are looking for candidates with 0-5 years of experience in a similar or related field. We would like freshers with 0-3 years of experience as far as possible. We need people enthusiastic people with leadership skills who have graduated from good schools/colleges.
Knowledge of fluent English is a must.
