Our client is a multinational provider of "Construction Products & Systems" and is looking for competent "Sourcing Executives" to work in their Colombo office immediately!
SALARY: Rs. 50,000 - 60,000
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for identifying new sources of supply by understanding the geological variations.
- Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing materials from overseas vendors.
- Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the purchase.
- Responsible for maintaining the proper stock turnover ratio.
- Responsible for the daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
- Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements.
- Monitoring the import processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
- Coordinate and expediting import process with local and overseas partners.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor's degree or advance diploma in Procurement / Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institute are preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Procurement / Sourcing Executive.
- Experience dealing with overseas sourcing is a definite advantage.
- Sound knowledge in Customs, other authority regulations and banking procedures for imports & clearance.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other procurement related software.
- Excellent command in both spoken & written English, Sinhala. (Tamil will be an advantage)
- Ability to follow confidentiality guidelines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment.
- Good organization, coordination & time management skills.
- Strong communication & negotiation skills with a problem-solving mindset.
